MONI (violin) A native of Bulgaria, Moni Simeonov began playing the violin at age five. He studied music at Yale University, and is now the first violinist of USC’s Chamber Orchestra, where he studies under Midori. Recently appointed concertmaster for the newly-formed Orchestra N in Seoul, Korea, Moni was also concertmaster for the Tanglewood Music Festival under Conductor James Levine. When he’s not playing with Kira, Moni can be seen as a soloist throughout Los Angeles. He is also a virtuoso whistler.
